Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Sovah Health - Martinsville. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory failure, shock, and multi-organ failure. You will work closely with our intensivist and resident physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory failure, shock, and multi-organ failure.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with our intensivist and resident physicians to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
  • Experience in clinical area preferred.
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire.
