Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily management of activities of the FSQA department to include food safety programs, micro and chemistry lab, specification adherence and product quality for case ready products within their assigned facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the FSQA department, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement HACCP and SSOP based inspection programs to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Monitor and verify adherence to government regulations, including USDA and GMP requirements.
  • Conduct research and development activities to improve food safety and quality programs.
  • Train and educate employees on sanitation and food safety procedures.
  • Investigate and respond to quality-related customer complaints.
  • Manage and oversee the selection, training, and management of FSQA Supervisors and Technicians.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field, preferably related to poultry processing.
  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with FSQA supervisory experience preferred.
  • HACCP certification and knowledge of USDA, GMP, and SSOP requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to correspond with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage crewing, labor, and attendance of the 2nd shift FSQA department.
