Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute custodial tasks to uphold a clean, organized, and hygienic environment throughout the premises. (70%)
  • Handle loading, unloading, and driving for food and donation deliveries. (10%)
  • Oversee the maintenance of the vehicle fleet, including cleaning and scheduling necessary repairs. (5%)
  • Conduct minor repair work to ensure safety and compliance with training and regulations. (5%)
  • Assist in organizing special and seasonal events, including room setups and transportation of supplies. (5%)
  • Manage grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal. (5%)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in custodial services.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate within 90 days, meeting MVR requirements.
  • Successful completion of background checks is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of safe practices for handling equipment, chemicals, and materials used in maintenance and custodial work.
  • Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, scrubbing, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in using PC, Microsoft Office, and database management.

Work Environment

  • Regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, walking, and standing.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Professional workplace; remote work is not an option.
  • Clear communication with colleagues is essential.

Supervisory Role

This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements

Regular local travel using agency or personal vehicles is expected, with rare out-of-area travel.
