Respiratory Therapist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Texas Health Plano. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Review medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patients or families.
- Evaluate patients using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
- Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
- Demonstrate competence in performing age-appropriate patient assessment and individualize care based on age-specific needs.
- Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
- Perform treatment procedures within the scope of the professional license.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.
- CLIAFE compliance with foreign education equivalency required.
- 1 year of Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred.
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required.
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 days required.
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 days required.
- Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience.
