Position Summary
We are in search of a dedicated Pet Services Supervisor to enhance our expanding team. The Pet Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Pet Services Manager with the operational management of the Daycare and Boarding sectors, stepping in as the acting Manager in the absence of the Pet Services Manager. This position demands exceptional leadership capabilities, a solid understanding of canine behavior, and a strong commitment to adhering to company policies and procedures. The Pet Services Supervisor will report directly to the Pet Services Manager and will have pathways for career growth within our dynamic organization.


Compensation
Hourly pay will be determined based on experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide pet services personnel in accordance with role expectations and GoDog's core values.
  • Function as a hands-on Supervisor on the floor, responsible for:
    • Feeding pets
    • Administering medications
    • Conducting general health and behavioral assessments
    • Safely relocating dogs within the facility
    • Bathing dogs
    • Maintaining cleanliness
  • Oversee daily operations of Pet Services, including managing dog activities, coordinating scheduled services, ensuring facility cleanliness, and supervising staff assignments and daily tasks.
  • Distribute and assign daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities among attendants.
  • Evaluate animal behavior to qualify dogs for GoDog services, including Care Assessments and reviewing New Pet Questionnaires.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain dog and human first aid certifications.
  • Serve as the acting Manager in the absence of the Pet Services Manager.
  • Availability to work during peak times, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in animal care management.
  • Ability to lead with kindness, compassion, and a balanced demeanor, as dogs are sensitive to human emotions.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Ability to engage positively with the animals under GoDog's care.
  • Physical stamina to move throughout the facility and interact with pets, clients, and staff.
  • Comfortable with cleaning up after animals without hesitation.
  • Competency to fulfill the tasks required of any staff member.
  • Certification in Pet First Aid and CPR.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
