Job Overview

At Emmaus Drug Store, we are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to enhance our pharmacy services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily functions of the pharmacy and ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications. Your expertise will be vital in delivering outstanding patient care while adhering to all regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the accurate dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with proper procedures during compounding and labeling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and optimize medication therapy.
  • Provide essential drug information to both healthcare providers and patients.
  • Conduct medication utilization reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and recommend necessary adjustments to therapy.
  • Participate in clinical activities and maintain aseptic techniques in sterile compounding environments.
  • Support clinical operations in acute care settings, including emergency and intensive care units.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Manage medication inventory levels and place orders as necessary.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacy license in the relevant state.
  • Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Certification in immunization from an accredited organization.
  • No pending felony charges or convictions related to controlled substances.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of compounding medications.
  • Familiarity with PrimeRX/Micro Merchant pharmacy software.
  • Experience with BestRX pharmacy software.

Work Schedule
  • Full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.

Compensation

Pay range: $50.00 to $65.00 per hour.


Additional Information
  • Licensed Pharmacist certification is required.
  • Ability to commute is necessary.
  • Relocation before starting work is required.
