We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Eateam. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy interventions as planned and directed by the Physical Therapist to facilitate quality patient care.
- Instruct and assist patients, monitoring their performance and physical status to ascertain the effectiveness of the program.
- Assist with patient mobility, including bed mobility, transfers, and gait, while utilizing modalities correctly and answering patient questions regarding their use.
- Establish rapport with patients in a professional manner and develop and document effective home exercise programs and supplemental instructional programs as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive and concise assessments and documentation of patient treatment and progress, ensuring information is dispensed to the appropriate parties.
- Communicate with the Physical Therapist as needed regarding patient progress and the need for goal modification.
- Submit accurate charges in a timely manner and supervise physical therapy aides and students, when appropriate and as assigned, in accordance with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Act guidelines.
- Fulfill continuing education and/or certification requirements to maintain required qualifications and take responsibility to know and complete professional and technical requirements, providing documentation on such requirements.
- Must be physically capable of prolonged standing, moving, pushing, and holding.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels.

- Education: Associate's degree.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
- Certification/License/Registration: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
