About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Neighborhood Dental in Sioux Falls, SD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with dental hygiene treatments and provide oral health education to patients.
  • Examine patients' teeth and gums, assist with cleanings, X-rays, and fluoride treatments.
  • Prepare instrument cassettes and set up materials for procedures.
  • Perform sterilization of contaminated dental instruments.
  • Make accurate alginate impressions.
  • Assist with procedures such as fixed and removable prosthodontics, esthetic and non-esthetic direct restorations, oral surgery, and endodontics.
  • Briefly explain dental procedures and answer basic questions about treatment planning to patients.
  • Assist office personnel in times of patient health emergencies.
Requirements
  • Driven attitude to succeed.
  • Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and equipment.
