ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functions as part of the healthcare team in delivering safe and effective patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Participates in patient care planning and evaluation. Responsible for documenting and reporting any unusual incidents or concerns to the supervisor. Promotes and assists in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Care:
Provide direct care for assigned patients.

Execute all technical aspects of care procedures as prescribed. Administer and monitor treatments according to the established care plan or as directed by the supervisor.

Track and document treatment parameters accurately. Record relevant information in patient records.

Responsible for reporting significant changes in patient conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Assist in developing educational plans for patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatment options.

Respond to emergency situations as required.

Administer medications as per physician orders and state regulations.

Conduct thorough reviews of patient conditions before, during, and after treatment.

Initiate basic life support measures in emergencies and respond to critical situations.


Technical Responsibilities:
Operate all healthcare-related equipment safely and according to protocols.

Provide minor troubleshooting as needed.

Ensure a clean and sanitary environment in the treatment area.

Address any blood spills immediately following safety protocols.

Effectively operate emergency equipment in accordance with standard procedures.

Staff Collaboration:
Participate in scheduled staff meetings.

Contribute to patient care planning discussions.

Stay informed about current practices in healthcare by attending training sessions.

Serve as a resource for colleagues. Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care plans.

Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Travel between facilities and various locations may be necessary.

EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Compensation Information:
