Job Summary

Certified Surgical Technologist - Main OR, Days

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Main OR at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. You will function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory
  • Use knowledge/expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
  • Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • 1+ year of Hospital experience required
  • 3-5+ years of Ortho experience preferred
