The Quality Engineer will develop and implement systems and processes to prevent internal and external failures, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and 3rd party regulatory standards and requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or equivalent on-the-job experience, with skills in geometric dimension and tolerance systems, analytical skills, and experience with quality tools and measurement equipment.

The Quality Engineer will work with vendors, communicate effectively, and take initiative to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning, have courage to take on challenges, and be available for travel with short notice.

Range: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure product quality.
  • Resolve daily in-process quality issues.
  • Evaluate and monitor raw material, in-process, and finished good components against customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigation and resolution for internal nonconformances, customer product quality complaints, and supplier quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques.
  • Capture and maintain Quality scorecard metrics, and recommend improvements with the goal of transitioning the organization from a reactive to a proactive culture.
  • Develop and lead internal product/process quality audit system, including closing out audit findings and reporting results to upper management.
  • Design systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels, and interpret and report trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System.
  • Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
  • Maintain gage calibration system to support measurement needs in production and QA.
  • Review new product designs and processes to ensure quality of design and conformance requirements.
