Production Worker Job Summary

Morton Salt is a leading manufacturer of salt products, and we are seeking a Production Worker to join our team. As a Production Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery and equipment to perform various tasks, including filling poly bags with salt and palletizing finished products.
  • Assist in the operation of forklifts to move and transport product/materials within the plant.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assist workers of higher classification in performing their tasks.
  • Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • A safety mindset and commitment to one's own safety and those of fellow co-workers.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience driving a forklift.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
