Job Summary

The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking a highly skilled Interdisciplinary Data Fusion Specialist to lead the development of sensor fusion functionality for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft. This position requires a strong technical background in data fusion, sensor performance, and algorithm development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a comprehensive vision for sensor fusion capabilities, including A/A and A/S functionalities.
  • Advance the implementation of sensor fusion to support future effects chains, promote situational awareness, and increase survivability.
  • Lead a team of government and contractor personnel to improve sensor fusion performance on the platform.
  • Model sensor fusion performance to assess the impacts of algorithm changes, sensor performance changes, and weapon performance changes.
  • Provide inputs, guidance, and requirements for modeling capability.
  • Analyze data from sensor fusion performance to inform future development.
  • Oversee analysis strategies, including metrics and reporting.
  • Model and analyze overall effects chain performance.
  • Participate in Solution Train as an Initiative Owner, working to flow value to the customer by verifying Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning.
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and performance for multiple fusion efforts, including existing and future IAs.
  • Collaborate with Boeing leadership and PMA 265 on future requirements development.
  • Serve as the Technical Point of Contact for Data Fusion work on the IDIQ contract with Boeing.
  • Travel as required for the position.
  • Obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Currently hold and/or have held the full performance level (or equivalent) of the vacant position on a permanent basis or a position with the equivalent full performance level.
  • 4-7 years of experience in data fusion, sensor performance, and algorithm development.
  • Strong technical background in data fusion, sensor performance, and algorithm development.
