Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and attentive Kitchen Server/Food Runner to join our team at Tao Group Hospitality. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food menu items to guests in a timely and accurate manner, providing detailed descriptions of each dish.
  • Act as a liaison between servers, cocktail servers, bartenders, and chefs to ensure seamless communication and service.
  • Interact with guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner, providing gracious hospitality.
  • Anticipate and accommodate guest needs, providing professional and exceptional service.
  • Participate in table maintenance and bussing of excess tableware, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, and be a team player.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food menus and the company, providing accurate information to guests.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate the needs of guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support team members, managers, and chefs.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including setting up the runner's station, performing side-work, and stocking station with prescribed items and supplies.
Requirements
  • Previous hospitality experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or nightclub environment.
  • Previous food running experience, with a strong understanding of food service operations.
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate effectively, with good positive energy and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods, with the ability to move quickly and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, with exposure to cleaning materials and hot kitchen elements.
