Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly disinfected, assembled, and in working order.
  • Sterile Field Maintenance: Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in the operating room.
  • Supportive Care: Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase, including preparing patients' skin for surgery and monitoring vital signs.
  • Operational Support: Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training: Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program.
  • Certification: Certification as a surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Experience: One month of job-related experience and/or training.
  • Certifications: BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: One year of experience in a medical setting.
