Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the established scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of UCHealth. Your role will involve monitoring patients to ensure a safe environment, optimize health outcomes, and effectively utilize available resources.

Work Schedule: Full-Time Days

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for procedures by setting up the environment, orienting and assessing patients, and reviewing medical records to ensure all safety protocols are met.
  • React to life-threatening situations by applying nursing standards and treatment protocols. Manage critical and high-pressure situations with efficiency and composure.
  • Deliver nursing care in a technically sophisticated environment.
  • Assess the educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment within the scope of your role, working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials:
    Essential:
    * Registered Nurse (RN)
    * Basic Life Support (BLS)
    * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Education:
    Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program if less than 3 years of experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
    Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). BLS and any relevant life support certification as determined by the position level.
    Minimum Experience: 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with the card in hand before the start date. All life support certification cards must be current and issued by recognized organizations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is: $57.44 per hour, based on relevant experience.
