Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating articulating trucks, water trucks, and other heavy equipment in off-road conditions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple types of trucks, including articulating trucks, water trucks, and other heavy equipment, in various sizes and weights, safely loading, traveling in on and off-road conditions, and operating multiple functions such as dumping, pumps, and sprayers.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures, reporting any issues or concerns to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, referring any defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, controlling traffic at work sites by flagging or following flaggers' directions as required.
  • Assist laborers and/or technicians as requested by supervisors and foremen to expedite work and ensure a safe working environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity, with exposure to dust, asphalt, and hazardous materials.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Extended sitting or operation of equipment, with frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain, with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, dust, asphalt, and/or hazardous materials.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of experience in operating articulating trucks, with two (2) years related to environmental construction.
  • Sufficient education to make arithmetic equations and complete written documentation, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste worker training and 8-hour refresher training as required by OSHA.
  • Certified first aid and CPR training preferred.
  • Valid and appropriate state driver's license with no active violations within the previous three years prior to employment and a good driving history approved by KEMRON's insurance carrier for driving Company vehicles.
Special Requirements
  • Must understand and sign-off on KEMRON Company and worksite Health and Safety Plans.
