About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead – Reaction Wheels to join our growing team at Terran Orbital. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers in designing, integrating, and developing new and optimizing existing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineers to design and develop satellite reaction wheels.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment and provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
  • Develop team goals and ensure alignment with project and overall organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and documentation to communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other IPT leads and departments to ensure cohesive and integrated project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design and development of satellite reaction wheels, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Experience with the design, manufacture, test, and qualification of precision, high-speed rotating mechanical systems.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, able to identify and resolve design/manufacturing/procurement issues.
  • Strong leadership & team building skills, proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
