Job Title: Food Court Lead

FSLA Status: Hourly

Supervisor: Food Court Manager

The Food Court Lead plays a vital role in collaborating with Food Court associates to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and adherence to company policies and procedures. This position supports the Food Court Manager in driving store sales and profitability by effectively managing all facets of Food Court operations, including coffee, pizza, Asian cuisine, and popcorn.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Food Court Manager in achieving labor objectives by creating staff schedules and collaborating with store leadership.
  • Oversee all aspects of food service gross profit goals, planning, and shrink control.
  • Lead, coach, and reinforce the Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations for all Food Court associates.
  • Support the training of new associates under the guidance of the Food Court Manager.
  • Provide direction to associates and exemplify leadership through actions.
  • Foster teamwork in daily operations and ensure departmental standards are consistently met.
  • Work alongside associates to ensure the success of daily operations.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by assisting customers with food selections.
  • Ensure proper signage is displayed throughout the Food Court.
  • Monitor sales floor and back stock conditions, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Place orders with vendors for special requests and seasonal items.
  • Collaborate with the Food Court Manager to ensure high-quality products and services that drive sales growth.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues while adhering to the boomerang principle of service.
  • Support all associates with their daily tasks while leading by example.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the Food Court area.
  • Assist the Food Court Manager with timekeeping and accuracy for associates.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the work schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs and the ability to learn food service technology.
  • Preferred experience in the retail food industry.
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Capability to interact tactfully and effectively with guests and staff.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to potential safety hazards.
  • Familiarity with equipment and procedures such as hand jacks, slicers, fryers, and mixers.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
  • Full range of upper body motion.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Work Schedule:
  • This is a full-time, hourly position.
  • Shifts may vary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
