Job Summary:


The Automation Technology Engineer plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and yield enhancement through automation and control systems.

This position requires adherence to safety protocols and IT/OT policies, ensuring the success of both team members and clients.

Responsibilities include long-term strategic planning and project management for the development of new process technologies.

The engineer will also participate in a 24/7 support team for the Operational Technology (OT) Network, addressing all aspects related to process control systems.

All tasks must comply with industry standards and company safety regulations.
Utilizing technology to refine processes and procedures is a key focus, with a constant awareness of how work impacts customers and team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the feasibility of advanced processes and equipment to enhance safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical components, controls, motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Contribute to departmental processes supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

- Participate in the design, procurement, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems related to equipment.

- Manage project budgets and oversee contractor management.
- Supervise the development and maintenance of OT hardware/software, servers, and networking for process control.
- Update and enhance process data requirements in ERP and business intelligence systems.
- Maintain documentation for process control simulations and testing as needed.
- Conduct trials and experiments, compiling detailed technical reports.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Automation or a related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a related role may substitute for formal education.
- Proficiency in engineering mathematics is required.
