Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Control Technician Leader to join our team at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. As a key member of our Engineering and Maintenance Department, you will provide guidance and leadership to our Industrial Control Technicians, ensuring the efficient operation of our airport's industrial control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor Industrial Control Technicians in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electric, distributed control systems, and pneumatic and electronic direct digital control systems.
  • Plan and assign work to team members, reviewing progress and ensuring compliance with work orders and mechanical codes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the operational performance of our Building Automation System (BAS) and Foxboro system, making adjustments and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to integrate new systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide on-the-job training, and counsel team members as needed.
Requirements
  • 6 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial control systems maintenance and repair, or equivalent education and training.
  • Knowledge of automated, computer-based instrumentation and distributed control systems, as well as electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls systems.
  • Ability to lead projects, work safely, and make detailed analyses of data and information.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Master Electronics Technician or Journeyman Electronics Technician.
  • Licensed as a Master HVAC Mechanic from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation Board of Contractors.
