Job Opportunity

Killingly Public Schools is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join our team. As a member of our district, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly qualified School Psychologist to provide mental health services, academic support, and behavioral interventions to students in our district. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services, including assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support student learning and behavior
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school psychology

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in school psychology or a related field
  • CT Certification (if applicable)
  • Experience working with students, teachers, and parents in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
