Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of job materials to confirm accuracy in size and style, ensuring there are no visible damages or defects.
- Prepare and load necessary materials onto the installation vehicle, including backup supplies, tools, and safety equipment.
- Notify both the office and the customer in case of delays for scheduled installation appointments.
- Upon arrival at the customer’s residence, verify the installation details, including the products to be installed and the expected duration of the job, while managing customer expectations.
- Carry out the installation of all products and services listed in the work order, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and strive for effective resolutions.
- If a safe and quality installation cannot be performed as scheduled, document all issues and required materials for a future completion date.
- Communicate with team members regarding any incomplete work, ensuring that new materials are ordered and customer expectations are appropriately managed.
- Respect the customer’s property by maintaining cleanliness and order, using protective measures as necessary.
- Conclude the installation by educating the customer on product care and maintenance, warranty details, and how to reach out for future service or inquiries.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in residential glass installation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical capability to perform the job, including the ability to lift 50-100 lbs. unassisted.
- Experience with residential glass replacement, including single/double pane windows, shower enclosures, and skylights.
- Knowledge of residential window and door installation for both new constructions and retrofits.
- Skills in window and door maintenance, weatherization, and repair.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is preferred.
- Demonstrated motivation, strong work ethic, and exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain, clean, and organize the installation vehicle.
