Mine Diagnostic Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Diagnostic Electrician to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

• Perform removal, repair, and installation of electrical components and systems, including advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization.
• Conduct routine and non-routine repairs and construction, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to improve system reliability and efficiency.

• Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation Program, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, and low and medium voltage equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and communicate with management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
