Position Summary: The Business Development Analyst for Industry Groups plays a crucial role in delivering essential tactical support to the dynamic Business Development team that drives marketing and business growth for the firm's Fintech, AI, E-Gaming, NewSpace, Sustainability, and Climate industry sectors.

This position is integral to enhancing the visibility of these groups, both internally and externally, and supports initiatives that foster client engagement and pipeline development. The analyst will collaborate closely with the entire business development and marketing team, leveraging resources to execute and assess the effectiveness of initiatives and campaigns for the relevant industry sectors. This role reports to the Senior Business Development Manager for Industry Groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies for the industry sectors.
  • Create engaging marketing and business development materials, including both standard and customized pitch documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on markets, technologies, companies, and individuals to support industry group attorneys.
  • Support the Business Development team's tracking and reporting of pitches.
  • Maintain and update key attorney matters in the experience database.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the firmwide business development team to promote and drive industry, practice, and technology innovation initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm business development role supporting practices and/or industry sectors.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with outstanding proofreading and fact-checking abilities.
  • Highly organized and able to maintain productivity under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Quick learner with new software, systems, databases, and procedures.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team settings.
  • Self-driven, positive attitude, and a keen interest in technology, life sciences, and the new energy economy.
  • Willingness to travel and attend key events and meetings as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not mandatory.
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position varies based on location and experience. The compensation package may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance, along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
