We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a key member of our Court Services Department, you will play a critical role in evaluating the competency of individuals and providing expert testimony in court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and comprehensive evaluations of individuals to determine their competency to proceed in court
- Develop and deliver expert testimony in court proceedings, providing clear and concise opinions on the individual's competency
- Collaborate with other professionals, including judges, attorneys, and law enforcement officials, to ensure the effective administration of justice
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in forensic psychology, attending training and professional development opportunities as needed
- Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist from the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners
- One year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
