About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a key member of our Court Services Department, you will play a critical role in evaluating the competency of individuals and providing expert testimony in court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive evaluations of individuals to determine their competency to proceed in court
  • Develop and deliver expert testimony in court proceedings, providing clear and concise opinions on the individual's competency
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including judges, attorneys, and law enforcement officials, to ensure the effective administration of justice
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in forensic psychology, attending training and professional development opportunities as needed
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist from the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners
  • One year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
