M/I Homes, a leading national homebuilder, is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth closing process of new home purchases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Closing Documentation Packages: Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and in-house title company staff to prepare accurate closing documentation packages for FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, and Conventional mortgage loans.
  • Order Title Commitments and Closing Documents: Order title commitments and other closing-related documents as needed to ensure a seamless closing process.
  • Balance Closing Disclosures: Balance closing disclosures with all parties to meet legal requirements.
  • Review Sales Contracts and Documents: Review sales contracts, addenda, homeowner's insurance, final inspection, flood certificate, title commitment, and other documents related to the closing of the loan.
  • Maintain Accurate Closing Schedules: Maintain accurate closing schedules and funding schedules to ensure timely completion of closings.
  • Manage Post-Closing Requests: Manage and resolve post-closing requests and suspense items on closed loans.
Requirements
  • Customer-Service Orientation: Provide excellent customer service and interact with a variety of people inside and outside the organization.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate, with some college preferred, and at least three years of experience in the mortgage field.
