The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will work independently, performing complex and specialized procedures in a state-of-the-art MRI environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams, utilizing advanced computerized imaging equipment.
- Assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures, utilizing MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Ensure accurate coding and entry of charges in the billing system.
- Demonstrate competence with all age-specific groups to ensure proper completion of studies.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Protect patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred.
- Current state licensure required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible, and committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
