Job Summary:
The Breast Sonographer plays a vital role in assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures and operate sonography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and efficient diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of breast sonography techniques and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in breast sonography and imaging technologies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Sonography or related field preferred.
- One year of breast sonography experience preferred.
- Certified and registered by ARDMS in Breast Sonography – RDMS,BR required.
- Applicable state license required.
