Registered Nurse Unit Manager
The Nurse Unit Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing nursing operations and delivering direct patient care during designated shifts while ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
This position requires the individual to fulfill job duties without posing any significant risk to the health or safety of themselves or others, while consistently upholding the policies and procedures of Corbin- Christian Health Center and aligning with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities in Clinical Management
- Oversee and verify the accuracy of resident documentation, including daily, monthly, and quarterly evaluations.
- Ensure timely follow-up on clinical inquiries.
- Facilitate clinical meetings for at-risk residents within the assigned unit.
- Conduct thorough reviews of residents in the designated unit.
- Process pharmacy orders and dietary requests promptly.
- Monitor admissions and ensure data completion readiness.
- Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL) rounds within the assigned unit.
- Evaluate the fulfillment of monthly orders.
- Coordinate bladder assessments and toileting programs for residents.
- Engage in Quality Improvement (QI) Committee activities as required.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care, with supervisory experience in acute, sub-acute, or long-term care settings.
Licensure:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Preferred Certification:
Certification as a Wound Care Nurse or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
