Job Title: Child Psychiatrist

Sonora Behavioral Health, a leading psychiatric hospital in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a Full-Time Child Psychiatrist to provide leadership and direct inpatient services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, adhering to medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders and treat or direct treatment using various psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years of postgraduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

Our services include inpatient hospitalization for crisis stabilization, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
