Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance plant operations and cultivate a high-performing operations team.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of relevant process technologies, equipment, and control systems.
- Apply continuous improvement and troubleshooting methodologies to effectively resolve production challenges.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to optimize operations and achieve business objectives related to production, cost, and quality.
- Lead and participate in thorough root cause analyses to prevent the recurrence of unplanned events.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Operational Excellence Model, including process qualification training for the operations team.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies, translating them into actionable practices within the plant.
- Lead teams within your area of accountability and manage small-scale projects aligned with your responsibilities.
- Serve as a manufacturing representative for projects pertinent to your area of expertise.
- Potentially fulfill roles such as Asset Technology Focal Point, Production Coordination Focal Point, Process Safety Focal Point, and Turnaround Coordination Focal Point based on plant requirements and employee development goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
- A strong desire to engage with the operating team to gain insights and facilitate their success.
- Demonstrated technical expertise.
- A high level of ownership and accountability.
