Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Novelis Oswego Manufacturing Facility. As a key member of our Finance and Accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing various plant-based finance functions, including operating expenses, and bridging individual manufacturing units' reporting and plant-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of financial analysts, providing training, performance management, and growth and development opportunities.
  • Perform month-end activities, including completing and uploading journal entries and forecasts in SAP, exporting data from multiple sources to review and analyze actual results against plan and forecast, and non-inventory account reconciliations in OneStream.
  • Complete plant-level budgets and analysis related to hourly wage forecasts, energy, headcount, and overtime.
  • Consolidate and summarize manufacturing unit data into plant-level reporting for the Controller and leadership team.
  • Upload plant OpEx forecasts and plans to SAP and regional SharePoint.
  • Work closely with HR to report actual and forecasted headcount.
  • Act as a Financial Business Partner for Central Maintenance and Admin & Support functions, supporting all matters related to OpEx.
  • Build analytical models utilizing financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results, clearly articulating these results back to management to inform better business decisions.
  • Support World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities by participating in cross-functional business projects and gaining a comprehensive knowledge of operational cost drivers to better support project initiatives.
  • Provide training and regular support to departments regarding matters such as purchase requisitions, RFA submissions, invoice resolutions, valuations, and budgets.
  • Periodically attend department meetings with the analyst team to stay up-to-date on manufacturing activities and provide support to the teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics, with experience in financial modeling.
  • Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel.
  • Willingness to take on additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing experience.
