Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents. This includes monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service and maintain quality control standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the food industry and possess a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation processes.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record proper food temperatures
  • Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
  • Prepare and serve food items
  • Restock food areas
  • Clean and sanitize equipment
  • Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
Requirements
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Knowledge of food service and safety procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Basic math skills
