We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled executive to lead our Tecan Americas team as President. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong track record of driving sales growth and business expansion in the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities- Accountable for the business performance of Tecan USA, including direct sales and back-office operations.
- Responsible for all finance, HR, IT, and QARA functions.
- Support the Partnering Business (PB) and define and achieve strategic and financial goals.
- Identify products, technologies, and capabilities needed to advance the US market position.
- Participate in the product life cycle and technology development roadmap.
- Build effective relationships with customers, strategic partners, and cross-functional leaders.
- Implement change management initiatives and champion a Practical Process Improvement environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Science or Business Administration.
- 10-15 years of industry experience in a senior management role, preferably in life sciences-related industries.
- 10+ years of distributor management experience, ensuring smooth operations and streamlining to maximize profitability.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong analytical capability and experience.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and influence multiple personnel in various functions.
- Experience in Life Sciences/Diagnostics products, including national P&L Leadership.
- Ability to coach, lead, and manage staff of all functional areas.
- Ability to recognize and solve potential problems, demonstrating business safety and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to launch and deliver multiple projects on time and within the budget.
- Ability to collaborate with the existing management and articulate/advocate the vision.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Substantial travel (50%) between regional and local offices.
