Inpatient Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Coder to join our team at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana. This Per Diem role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your CCS certification and expertise to ensure the integrity of our coding processes.

As an Inpatient Coder, you will play a critical role in reviewing patient records, assigning accurate codes, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines. You will work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures when necessary, contributing to the overall quality of patient care.

To succeed as an Inpatient Coder, you should possess a CCS certification or have a strong desire to obtain one. Detailed knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid, is essential for accurate coding. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with excellent proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.

A minimum of one year of coding experience in a hospital or physician setting is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in their coding career. Certification as a coding specialist or a related field is highly desirable to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
