**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Hormone Specialist Physician to join our dynamic team at Henry Ford Health. As a key member of our Endocrinology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching, and participating in clinical research.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Internal Medicine residency program and an ACGME/AOA approved Endocrinology fellowship program.
  • You will practice general endocrinology with the ability to teach and participate in clinical research.
  • Our clinic receives a wide variety of cases, making for a well-rounded and diverse practice.

About the Practice:

  • The practice is comprised of about 40% diabetes and the rest is general endocrine including thyroid.
  • The advanced practice providers handle diabetes follow-ups.
  • We have a dietitian on-site every day at Henry Ford Columbus and three days a week at Henry Ford New Center One.

Schedule and Call:

  • Physicians work five days a week, seeing 16-17 patients per day, with 16-18 days of clinic per month.
  • New providers are eased into clinic and do not have a full schedule right away.
  • Call is evenly distributed amongst the staff physicians, with overnight calls first taken by fellows.

Rounds and Education:

  • Providers will round at Henry Ford Hospital approximately 9-10 weeks a year.
  • The on-call physician will also round at HF West Bloomfield Hospital 3-4 times per year.
  • Fellows usually work 3-6 half days of clinic per week and rounds at Henry Ford Hospital.
