Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a proficient Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. The selected candidate will oversee laboratory production and personnel while ensuring quality assurance and quality control for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting specific QA/QC tests on construction materials, including soil, concrete, aggregates, and asphalt, adhering to industry standards such as DOT, ASTM, ACI, and AASHTO.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of observations, inspections, and test outcomes.
- Organizing laboratory data, processing information, and preparing reports.
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring optimal workspace conditions.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Geotechnical or Construction Materials Testing laboratory.
- Preferred certifications include ACI and FDOT CTQP laboratory credentials.
- Experience in soil and concrete testing, along with other construction materials.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, field technicians, and inspectors.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
