ROLE SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care through comprehensive assessment, evaluation, and treatment, with the primary objective of promoting wellness and recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and implement care plans tailored to patient conditions and diagnoses.
- Provide education to patients based on their individual needs.
- Transcribe and execute protocols and physician orders effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, including case management and various therapy services.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and telemetry data.
- Recognize acute changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of prior RN experience is required.
Credentials: Must possess a current, valid RN license and be in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory. Completion of a telemetry course or demonstration of competency is required.
Skills and Competencies- Annual completion of required continuing education units (CEUs).
- Familiarity with intravenous (IV) medications.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including a friendly demeanor, patience, empathy, and professionalism.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to learn new software applications and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability in all aspects of the role.
