New Hope Church of Norfolk is seeking a skilled Church Musician to serve and assist the lead music director for the worship music ministry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating music ministries, working with the Pastor and staff to plan and convey information about the music program, and providing music for weekly services and occasional festival services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Choir director with coordinating the music ministries
  • Work with the Pastor and staff in general planning and conveying information about the music program
  • Provide music for weekly services and occasional festival services
  • Attend all rehearsals as scheduled by choir director

Requirements:

  • Music theory training required
  • Able to play Hammond Organ, keyboard and piano
  • Play by ear preferred
  • 2-5 years of music experience (preferred)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time position
  • Salary: $300.00 to $500.00 /week
