As a Lead Teacher at Discovery Point - Hamilton Mill, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our young students. • Curriculum Development: Design and implement weekly lesson plans that align with our approved curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for our students.
• Classroom Leadership: Provide guidance and support to other staff members in the classroom, promoting a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Schedule Management: Oversee the daily schedule, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the classroom.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and company policies and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Communication: Engage with parents, staff, and management in a friendly and professional manner, fostering positive relationships and open communication.
• Classroom Environment: Maintain a welcoming, upbeat, and positive atmosphere in the classroom, promoting a sense of community and belonging among students and staff.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the classroom is always clean and safe, adhering to high standards of maintenance and organization.

• Education and Experience: Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience, ensuring a strong foundation in early childhood education.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of early childhood education and curriculum design, enabling you to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Regulatory Awareness: Stay up-to-date with child care licensing rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Training and Certifications: Obtain necessary training in CPR/Fire Safety and other required certifications, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
• Certifications and Degrees: Hold a CDA/degree in ECE, meeting the minimum requirements for this role.
• Background Check: Meet state background check requirements, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment for our students.
