As a clinical laboratory technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing waived, moderate, or highly complex tests authorized by CLIA.
- Collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting patient test results.
- Maintaining quality control policies and procedures.
- Identifying problems that may affect test performance and taking corrective action.
- Documenting maintenance of instruments and equipment.
- Reviewing accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting.
- Recognizing age-specific differences in expected results.
- Ensuring proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
