This role involves providing essential support in a PRN capacity, covering both day and night shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients, implementing effective treatment plans while monitoring associated medical conditions.
- Perform clinical rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Engage in trauma resuscitations and activations, demonstrating expertise in critical situations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to inform treatment decisions.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care requirements.
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Preferred experience in critical care, including management of ventilators and complex clinical cases.
- Experience in performing surgical procedures such as chest tube insertion and central line placement is advantageous.
- Provide leadership in clinical expertise, contributing to organizational goals.
- Availability for night and weekend on-call duties as required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience is essential.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia and certification from the American College of Nurse Midwives is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing theory, clinical standards, and nurse midwifery practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing and lifting of patients.
