As a Pharmacy Technician at the Central Fill facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of prescription orders. You will work in a fast-paced, closed-door environment, using automation technologies and manual workstations to fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety and security procedures and processes of the company
  • Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders
  • Ensure medication counting devices are continuously replenished
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions
  • Monitor inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrate machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalate technical issues, and work as a team to reach team goals
  • Monitor and maintain uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors
  • Create and maintain documentation as requested
  • Manually fill prescriptions as needed
  • Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders. Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers
  • Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct
  • Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed
  • Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed
  • Assist Inventory Technicians as requested. Participate in Inventory Audits as needed

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Technician License in the Central Fill home state
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification

Technical Experience:

  • Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work)
  • Good computer skills
  • Good math skills
