We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team at Universal Maintenance. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, from Wednesday to Sunday, with evening/night shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. You will be working closely with our Day Porter and performing minor maintenance duties to ensure our properties are well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Vacuuming, dusting, de-webbing
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Empty trash receptacles
Duties
  • Performing minor maintenance duties
  • Communicating with property managers, tenants, or vendors when necessary
  • Removal of graffiti
  • Spot clean using pressure washer
  • Change of standard light bulbs (no ballasts, drivers, or other electrical work)
  • Re-set delineators
  • Using ladder when necessary (8' ladder)
  • Observing and touring property grounds
  • Phoning police department in case of emergency
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in basic English required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish strongly preferred)
  • Previous experience working in the janitorial/maintenance industry is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management
  • Be accountable and detail-oriented
  • Great customer service
  • Highly motivated
  • Must be able to stand or walk for 8 hours per shift
  • Must be able to bend to pick up items from the floor or to wipe surfaces as necessary
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35+ pounds
  • Must be able to use chemical or cleaning solution to perform duties
