At The Center for Youth and Family Solutions, we are seeking a compassionate and committed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide assessments, individual, marital, and family therapy, and education services to a diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct family-centered, inclusive, trauma-responsive, and strengths-based assessments of the behavioral health needs of individual youth and adults, couples, and families;
- Partner with clients and identify collaterals to develop treatment goals to address their presenting issues and needs;
- Build on client strengths and provide goal-directed mental health therapy and counseling services to clients;
- Offer services at times convenient to clients to include some evenings;
- Coordinate services with and provide consultation to other systems on behalf of clients, such as schools, medical providers, case workers/care coordinators, etc.
- Document services as required by legal statute, funder requirements, and agency policies.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology, or closely related Human Service field;
- 2 years of experience in a clinical position (preferred);
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Obtain an insured vehicle;
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license.
