Job Summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a Probation Officer to join our team in Eagle County. As a Probation Officer, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing, supervising, and monitoring clients' court-ordered services. You will also complete required training courses and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face appointments and interviews with clients
  • Develop and implement case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court orders
  • Assess and respond to critical incidents and potential risks in the field and office
  • Provide information and sentencing options to the court
  • Collaborate with other judicial districts and states on victim-related concerns
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
  • Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

The Probation Officer will work in an office or similar indoor environment, with occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. The position may also require working in a jail environment.
