About the Role

We are seeking a qualified School Nurse to join our team at Aspire Living & Learning Academy. As a member of our school team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a designated health professional, attending PPT meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Connecticut state requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with state-mandated physical examinations and immunization requirements.
  • Coordinate the administration of prescribed medications and treatments for students.
  • Train designated staff in medication administration according to state regulations.
  • Perform vision, hearing, and postural screenings as per state requirements.
  • Provide health care treatment to injured or sick students and staff.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
  • Knowledge of Connecticut state regulations pertaining to school health services and administrative procedures is desirable.
