Job Summary

As a Flight Instructor at Auburn University, you will provide flight training to students enrolled in Professional Flight. This role requires a strong passion for aviation and a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct flight instruction in accordance with AU Professional Flight and FAA practices, procedures, and guidance.
  • Schedule students to ensure they meet their flight training requirements.
  • Instill a culture of safety among students and promote the safety policies and procedures of AU Flight Education.
Requirements
  • Flight Instructor certification plus an Airplane Single-Engine rating.
  • Desirable: Flight Instructor certification plus an Airplane Single-Engine rating and Instrument-Airplane rating.
Working Conditions

Hours may vary between 5AM and 9:30PM Mon-Sat, depending on scheduled flight blocks. Temporary Employment Services (TES) provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees to meet the staffing needs of the university.
