Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team at M and C Creekside LLC. As a Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a class of students aged 18-36 months through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students' collective and individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans utilizing our FunShine Express curriculum.
  • Teach beginning reading and math skills to students.
  • Assist children in developing social and emotional skills.
  • Utilize a range of instructional methods and learning techniques to engage students.
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel through in-person communication, as well as our CareConnect and ChildFolio parent connection apps.
  • Assess students' skills and performance via twice-annual DRDP assessments to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones.
Requirements
  • Associate Teacher permit or higher (or willingness to obtain).
  • Qualifications include minimum 12 semester units in ECE coursework, including at least 3 units in the following coursework areas:
    • Child and Human Growth and Development.
    • Child, Family, and Community.
    • Programs and Curriculum.
    • Infant and Toddler Development (preferred).
  • 50 days of experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program, working at least three hours per day within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of Desired Results Developmental Profile assessments preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to undergo fingerprinting and background check.
  • Willingness to complete Mandated Reporter, Pest Management, Sexual Harassment, and Child and Adult CPR trainings.
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines.
  • Problem-solving and mediation skills.
